Township of Long Hill

Press Release from the Millington Fire Company  of the Long Hill Township Fire Department

At 20:39 hours on July 20th 2017 the Long Hill Township Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in the attached garage of a home in the Myersville section of the Township.  Stirling Fire Company Engine 24 was first to arrive followed by Millington Fire Company Ladder 14.  Stirling Fire Company fought the fire from the exterior and Millington Fire Company performed an interior attack to prevent fire extension to the rest of the house.  The size of the fire and structure of the house necessitated additional manpower from mutual aid companies to overhaul the scene and extinguish additional pockets of fire.  Command was terminated at 00:50 hours.

The Long Hill Township Fire Department wishes to thank all the Mutual Aid companies who responded - Lyons VA, Berkeley Heights, Chatham Township, New Vernon, Liberty Corner, and Warren.  Also, a special thanks goes out to the Long Hill Township Police Department, Long Hill Township First Aid Squad, and the Morris County MAC.
