Day 1 of milling is complete and the contractors were able to make some adjustments to their schedule based on the work they were able to complete today.
Milling was completed from Valley Rd/River Rd to Northfield Road as previously anticipated.
Day 2 and 3 (Thursday and Friday) are looking to stay the same with the construction to take place between Northfield Road and Main Avenue. The detours listed below for days 2 and 3 will be in place:
Days 2-3: 7:00am to 4:00pm working hours Near Northfield Road traveling East towards Main Avenue and Eastbound traffic will remain open. A detour will be in place at Main Avenue directing all traffic traveling West to turn North onto Main Avenue, West onto Long Hill Road, South onto Division Avenue to Valley Road.
Starting Monday, October 2, the contractors will go move back to Valley Rd. and River Rd. to begin paving to Northfield Road.
The following detour will be used on this date:
Start on Valley Road at River Road traveling East towards Main Ave. The anticipated working hours will be 7:00am to 4:00pm and Eastbound traffic will remain open. A detour will be in place on Valley Road directing all Westbound traffic North onto Northfield Road, West onto Long Hill Road, South onto Division Avenue, West onto Stonehouse Road, South onto River Road and ending at Valley Road. October 3 and 4 will have the contractors paving between Northfield Road and Main Avenue. The following detour will be in place for these days:
7:00am to 4:00pm Eastbound traffic will remain open. A detour will be in place at Main Avenue directing all traffic traveling West to turn North onto Main Avenue, West onto Long Hill Road, South onto Division Avenue to Valley Road. Click for detour map
Milling and paving of Valley road between Main Avenue and Morristown Road is expected to begin on Thursday, October 5.
