GSWA is hosting a Clean the Stream day in conjunction with City of Water (COW) day which is sponsored by NY/NJ Harbor Estuary Program and Hudson River Foundation.  We will be cleaning trash from the banks of a stream near you!  Come out and join us on July 10th from 10 am to 1pm at one of our five clean up locations:

Passaic River - Long Hill
Passaic River Park - Berkely Heights
Spring Garden Brook - Madison
Loantaka Brook (near Ginty fields) - Morris Township
Passaic River Canoe launch - Livingston

GSWA will provide clean up supplies at each location including gloves, garbage bags and some garbage pickers.  We will also have water available for refilling your reusable water bottles.  Feel free to bring a snack if you like.  Wear comfortable shoes that can possibly get muddy and a bit wet if you want to get into the water and clean up from the stream.  

During the day our clean up teams will be counting up the single-use plastic items we collect, we will use this data to help our communities get back on track with reducing plastic waste that impacts our streams.
