Daily Posts by Danielle Yoga with Lisa Atkins Rebel Walks Phys. Ed. with Coach Lisbona
From March through June, check out these  posts from Danielle for fun activities you can do at home, locally, and virtually.

Our yoga instructor, Lisa Atkins, is busy adding programs to promote relaxation and well-being through yoga.

Check out her yoga posts and newsletters linked below.

Rebel has been taking us on many walks--primarily through Millington--her "backyard", but she would love to hear from you about routes you have mapped out in your own neighborhoods.  (Note-all # of steps and mileage are approximate.)

Coach Lisbona has been busy putting YouTube videos together with workouts, fun games, and nutritious foods/snacks. Enjoy!

Something for all ages and ability levels!

On a personal note, please stay well as we all adjust to our "new normal".  You can still reach us in Recreation during our regular Town Hall hours, even though the building is currently closed to the public.  Rebel certainly does miss all of her visits from all of our kids.  She can't wait to see everyone again.
Make sure to keep checking our photos posted below.  Please keep letting us know how you are doing either by email, phone or on Instagram at longhillparksrec.
PLEASE NOTE:  The 2020 meeting schedule for Recreation Advisory Committee Meetings has changed.  We will be meeting on the third Tuesday of each month.  The printed Township Calendar is incorrect. (Note:  our meetings will be held remotely until further notice)
2020 Meeting Dates:  1/21, 2/18, 3/17, 4/21, 5/19, 6/16, 7/21, 8/18, 9/15, 10/20, 11/17, 12/15  All meetings are currently being held virtually on Webex.  Please email us at least 48 hours ahead of the meeting if you would like to attend virtually.  All meetings are open to the public.  We're always looking for new members!
Do your New Year's Resolutions include exercising more?  Why not start a walking regimen at Kantor Park?  With the completion of the walkway around the grass field; if you do a "figure 8" around the park, you will have walked 1/2 mile.  Why don't you start a challenge for yourself?  Start off with a 1/2 mile, and then try to add laps as we travel through the winter!  Anyone with a success story--please be sure to share it with us!

"I'm on a Wait List for a program.  What does that mean?"
Some of our programs have a maximum # of participants that can be registered for any number of reasons such as physical space limitations, established ratios between our instructors and participants, equipment/material available, etc.
If you have added your name to a wait list (always at no charge), you will be contacted only if space becomes available.  If you are still interested in the program; your registration on the wait list will move over to the intended program, and you will be asked to go in and apply payment to secure your spot in the program. If you are no longer interested, we will just remove your name from the wait list and continue on down the list.
Want to get email reminders about upcoming events in Recreation?  Make sure to sign up for Recreation "e-News" on the front page of the township website--blue envelope icon on right.
